QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS  ·  COMMON QUESTIONS

How long will my remap take?

A remap is around 2 hours. Remap and dyno, or Stage 2, is 4 to 5 hours. Stage 3 is all day. A dyno session on its own is 1 hour.

Diagnostics and ECU

A remap on its own takes around two hours. Most of that is reading the ECU, writing the file and checking the car over afterwards.

How long to allow, by job:

  • Remap – around 2 hours.
  • Remap with a dyno session – 4 to 5 hours. The car is measured, mapped, and measured again on the same rollers in the same visit.
  • Stage 2 – 4 to 5 hours.
  • Stage 3 – all day, around 8 hours.
  • A dyno session on its own – 1 hour.
  • Bench tuning – the same as any other remap. The ECU comes out and goes back in, but it does not add time.
  • A large hardware kit fitted at the same time – longer, and priced per car. We will tell you before you book.

We will tell you which method your vehicle needs, and how long to allow, when you first enquire. Ask us before you book if you need to arrange a lift or time off work.
