Boost sensor calibration

The manifold pressure sensor tells the ECU how much boost the engine is seeing. Each
sensor has a range, and the ECU is calibrated to that specific sensor.

Fit a higher range sensor for a bigger turbo and the ECU keeps reading it as if it were
the old one, so every pressure figure it sees is wrong. Everything downstream, fuelling,
timing, boost control, is then working from bad data.

Recalibrating the ECU to the new sensor is not optional on a bigger turbo build. It is
the step that makes the rest of the tune meaningful.
