How long will my remap take?

An OBD remap is usually one to two hours. Bench work or dyno development can take a full day.

A custom written OBD remap normally takes one to two hours, depending on the vehicle. Most of that is reading the ECU, writing the file and checking the car over afterwards.

Some vehicles take longer:

  • Bench tuning – the ECU has to come out and go back in, so allow most of the day.
  • Dyno work – Stage 3 and any heavily modified build needs runs and logging on the rollers, which is a full day.
  • Parts fitted at the same time – add the fitting time on top.

We will tell you which method your vehicle needs, and how long to allow, when you first enquire. Ask us before you book if you need to arrange a lift or time off work.
