Every current Ferrari runs the same Bosch MG1CS039 engine ECU, from the 3.0 V6 plug-in in the 296 to the 6.5 V12 in the 12 Cilindri and Purosangue. On 12 June Autotuner released bench read and write for it after a mail-in unlock: two minutes to read, one to write, full backup taken.
Cars this opens up
- 296 GTB and GTS (2022 on), 296 Speciale (2025), F80 (2025): 3.0 twin turbo V6 plug-in
- Amalfi (2025) 3.9 twin turbo V8; 849 Testarossa (2025) 4.0 twin turbo V8
- Purosangue (2022 on) and 12 Cilindri (2024 on): 6.5 V12
What it means
Ferrari work at JFA is quoted per car and done on our own rolling road, usually alongside an exhaust: see the McLaren 720S for how we approach a supercar. The turbo V6 and V8 cars are where a calibration makes a measurable difference; on the V12 it is mostly throttle response and the exhaust valve behaviour.
Owners: call 01622 321500 or use the tuning builder. Dealers: MG1CS039 reads through the file service; the Autotuner is the tool that reads them after the mail-in unlock.
