Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay 2.2 HDi (2011 on): now a plain OBD job

KESS3 3.40 adds an OBD protocol for the Continental SID208 behind the 2.2 HDi and 2.2 Multijet in the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay...

The big Stellantis vans, the Ducato, Boxer and Relay, share a 2.2 diesel and, from 2011, a Continental SID208 ECU that until now had to come out of the van for a bench read. KESS3 3.40 (5 August) puts it on OBD, so the van is tuned on the ramp with the ECU untouched.

Vans this covers

  • Fiat Ducato 2.2 Multijet (2011 on)
  • Peugeot Boxer 2.2 HDi (2011 on)
  • Citroen Relay and Jumper 2.2 HDi (2011 on)

What it means

For a courier or a motorhome owner the 2.2 in a loaded van is the definition of “could do with a bit more”. A Stage 1 on the 130 PS version is typically around 165 PS and 400 Nm; the 150 and 165 PS versions gain in proportion. The van pulls better up hills at the same throttle and typically uses less fuel doing it. Motorhomes on the Ducato base are a regular job for us.

Owners: put your registration into the tuning builder. Dealers: SID208 files through the file service; the KESS3 reads it over OBD.
