We have owned and developed our own Abarths and remap every 1.4 T-Jet from the 135hp 500 to the 190hp 695, including the locked 2021 onwards cars. Models up to 160hp with the IHI turbo reach around 170hp and 290Nm, and the 165hp and above cars with the Garrett turbo reach around 195hp and 320Nm, with the biggest change felt in mid-range torque and throttle response. Cars with the MTA automated gearbox can have the TCU recalibrated at the same time for faster shifts and higher torque limits, and every car is baselined and proven on our 4WD linked dyno.
Abarth ECU Remapping
Abarth ECU remapping for your car will offer great power and fuel economy enhancements. However, as with most vehicles the peak power gains are only half the benefit. You will also find power delivery earlier in the rev range due to additional low down torque and sharper throttle response. Along with this, you’ll see vast improvements to mid-range torque providing a wider power band.
Abarth Gearbox TCU Remapping.
Abarth’s fitted with an automatic or semi automatic transmission have a gearbox remap in additional to the engine remap. A gearbox remap for your Abarth will offer faster gear shift speeds, smoother shifts, faster reaction to paddle shift inputs and improved mid range torque by releasing torque limiters. Transmission lock is also improved giving a faster response during acceleration and assisting with kick down at low speeds.
Abarth Dyno Tuning
Our purpose built research and development facility houses out very own Mustang AWD 2000BHP linked dyno. This allows us to accurately measure every parameter we adjust. This in turn makes sure a tune is every bit as safe as it it powerful. When booking your Abarth ECU remap, book a set of dyno runs to see a full print out of power before and after the tuning.

Questions we get asked
How much power does an Abarth 595 remap give?
Around 170hp and 290Nm on the 135, 140, 145 and 160hp cars, and around 195hp and 320Nm on the 165, 180 and 190hp cars. The turbo fitted decides the ceiling, which is why the gains group that way. Stage 2 with an intake and exhaust takes the Garrett cars further.
Can the Abarth automatic gearbox be remapped?
Yes. The MTA automated manual has its own control unit, and recalibrating it gives quicker shifts, faster paddle response and revised torque limits so the box uses the extra output. We do it alongside the engine remap.
Do you remap the 2021 onwards Abarth with the locked ECU?
Yes. We developed a method on our own 2021 Turismo that works around the factory lock, and the car appears and functions exactly as before. See our 2021 Abarth tuning case study for the detail.
