A Stage 1 remap takes the Mercedes GLC 250 CDI from 204 to 240 bhp and from 500 to 550 Nm: 36 bhp and 50 Nm more, on standard hardware. Diesels gain most in torque, so the change shows as pull from low revs and less gear-changing under load, not just a higher peak figure. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
