A Stage 1 remap takes the Kia Rio 1.0 T-GDI from 120 to 140 bhp and from 172 to 230 Nm: 20 bhp and 58 Nm more, on standard hardware. On a turbocharged petrol the gain comes from boost, fuelling and ignition timing recalibrated within the limits of the standard turbo and injectors. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
