A Stage 1 remap takes the BMW X1 x25d from 231 to 270 bhp and from 450 to 500 Nm: 39 bhp and 50 Nm more, on standard hardware. Diesels gain most in torque, so the change shows as pull from low revs and less gear-changing under load, not just a higher peak figure. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
