A Stage 1 remap takes the BMW X1 s18i from 136 to 165 bhp and from 220 to 300 Nm: 29 bhp and 80 Nm more, on standard hardware. On a turbocharged petrol the gain comes from boost, fuelling and ignition timing recalibrated within the limits of the standard turbo and injectors. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
