The 2.0 TDI is the most tuned engine in Britain and the Bosch MD1CS004 is the ECU that runs it in everything from a 2015 Golf to a 2024 Transporter. Most hardware versions have been on OBD for years; a stubborn few, and the newer MD1CS104, could only be done by post. That gap closed on 24 June.
Autotuner now reads and writes every variant of the MD1CS004, including those that were never OBD-capable, and the MD1CS104, on the bench after a mail-in unlock. Five days later Magic Motorsport’s Flex 8.0 added a workshop boot glitch for the H80 hardware, so the newest vans can be unlocked without leaving the building.

What it means
A Stage 1 on the 150 PS 2.0 TDI is typically around 190 PS and 400 Nm; the 204 PS Transporter and GTD version around 240 PS and 460 Nm. The van pulls a loaded trailer without hunting for gears and uses less fuel driven the same way. See what we did on the VW Transporter.
Owners: put your registration into the tuning builder. Dealers: every MD1CS004 and MD1CS104 read is covered by the file service; the Autotuner reads the lot after a mail-in unlock and the Flex opens the H80 units in the workshop.
