Autotuner adds bench support for Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Mitsubishi EVs

AutoTuner now reads and writes Bosch VC1CP010 ECUs in bench mode, opening up the latest Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Mitsubishi EV and hybrid models.

AutoTuner has added bench support for the Bosch VC1CP010, the control unit now fitted across the latest electric and hybrid models from Renault, Dacia, Nissan, Alpine and Mitsubishi. Access comes after a mail-in unlock, after which the ECU can be read and written on the bench in minutes rather than sent away each time.

Which ECUs

The Bosch VC1CP010 runs on the TC387 microcontroller and covers 2022 to 2025 production. The process is a one-off mail-in unlock, after which our tools read the ECU in around two minutes and write it back in about thirty seconds on the bench. There is no indication from Autotuner that this protocol is in beta, so it is treated as a production release.

Cars this opens up

Fully electric models now covered include the Renault 5 E-Tech (2024 on), 4 E-Tech (2025 on), Megane E-Tech (2024 on), Scenic E-Tech (2024 on), Twingo E-Tech (2025 on) and Master E-Tech (2024 on), the Alpine A290 (2024 on), the Dacia Spring (2022 on), and the Nissan Ariya (2022 on), Leaf (2025 on), Micra E-Tech (2025 on) and Interstar E-Tech (2024 on).

Hybrid E-Tech variants across Renault, Dacia, Nissan and Mitsubishi with 1.2, 1.6 and 1.8 petrol engines are also covered by the same bench process.

What it means

These are electric and hybrid platforms rather than engines built for a power remap, so this is not about chasing extra bhp. What it gives dealers is faster, more reliable access to the ECU itself: once the one-off mail-in unlock is done, our tools now read and write the Bosch VC1CP010 on the bench instead of needing a unit sent away for every job. As Renault, Dacia and Nissan push more E-Tech electric and hybrid models onto UK roads, that means quicker turnaround for diagnostic and file work on cars that are becoming a bigger part of every workshop’s day-to-day.

If you run a Renault, Dacia, Nissan, Alpine or Mitsubishi EV or hybrid and want to know what our tuning builder can do for your car, or you are a dealer wanting this added to your file service access, get in touch. Full tool details are on our Autotuner tuning tool page.
