Peak power matters less than whether the engine pulls cleanly from low revs with a full car, a roof load or a trailer behind it, which is exactly where a standard calibration tends to feel laziest. This page covers the engine and gearbox work we do and how we verify it on our own dyno. What is realistic depends on your exact engine and ECU, so we confirm that from your registration first.

Land Rover Engine ECU Remapping
Land Rover ECU Remapping will offer great power and fuel economy enhancements , however as with most vehicles the peak power gains are only half the benefit. You will also find power delivery earlier in the rev range due to additional low down torque and sharper throttle response along with vast improvements to mid-range torque providing a wider power band.
Land Rover Gearbox TCU Remapping.
If your Land Rover is fitted with an automatic or semi automatic transmission we can perform a gearbox remap in additional to the engine remap. A gearbox remap for your Land Rover will offer faster gear shift speeds, smoother shifts, faster reaction to paddle shift inputs and improved mid range torque by releasing torque limiters. Transmission lock is also improved giving a faster response during acceleration and assisting with kick down at low speeds.

Our purpose built research and development facility houses out very own Mustang AWD 2000BHP linked dyno. This allows us to accurately measure every parameter we adjust making sure a tune is every bit as safe as it it powerful. Questions we get asked
Will a remap help with towing?
It usually does, because the extra mid range torque is precisely what you draw on when pulling away with a trailer or climbing with a load. Tell us how you use the vehicle when you book and we will map it for that rather than for a headline figure.
Can you tune the gearbox as well?
Yes. On the automatic cars a gearbox remap sharpens shift speed, smooths the shifts and revises the shift points, and releases the torque limiters that would otherwise hold back the engine map.
Do you tune the plug-in hybrid Land Rovers?
Yes, and we have a separate page covering the Land Rover hybrid Stage 1 tune. The approach differs, because it is the combustion engine's ECU that we work on rather than the hybrid system itself.
