AutoTuner has added the Bosch MG1CS080 to its bench file service, opening reads and writes on an ECU that sits behind Volvo, Polestar, Lynk & Co, Geely and LEVC. Coverage works via the bench method after a mail-in unlock, so it is not a same-day OBD job, but it puts files that were not reachable before on the table for both owners and dealers across a wide spread of the Geely group’s model range.
Which ECUs
The release targets the Bosch MG1CS080, built around the TC275 microcontroller. Access is via Bench Method after Mail-in Unlock – the ECU has to come out of the car and go through the unlock service before bench read and write is possible. It is not marked as a beta protocol, so this is a stable addition to the file list rather than an early-access one. Because the unlock step happens off the car, turnaround depends on the mail-in queue rather than on how quickly the ECU can be pulled and refitted.

What it means
For owners, our tools now read and write the MG1CS080, so cars from this Geely-platform family that were previously stuck can go through our tuning builder once the ECU has been through the bench process. It is worth noting this spans everything from small PureTech-style petrol Volvos through to plug-in hybrids like the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV and full electric drivetrains such as the Polestar 2 and Volvo E400V models, so the exact routing through our builder will depend on the specific powertrain.
For dealers, this is a mail-in-then-bench job rather than a driveway OBD session – book the ECU in through our file service and we will handle the unlock and bench work for you, then return a ready-to-flash file. Anyone running AutoTuner hardware in their own workshop can also pick this protocol up directly – see our AutoTuner tuning tool page for what is needed to run mail-in unlock and bench jobs yourself.
