A Stage 1 remap takes the Mercedes SLK 200K (1.8) from 163 to 175 bhp and from 240 to 255 Nm: 12 bhp and 15 Nm more, on standard hardware. On a turbocharged petrol the gain comes from boost, fuelling and ignition timing recalibrated within the limits of the standard turbo and injectors. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
