A Stage 1 remap takes the BMW X3 25d xDrive from 231 to 270 bhp and from 400 to 500 Nm: 39 bhp and 100 Nm more, on standard hardware. Diesels gain most in torque, so the change shows as pull from low revs and less gear-changing under load, not just a higher peak figure. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.

Will a remap affect the DPF or AdBlue on a BMW X3 25d xDrive?
No. A Stage 1 remap keeps every emissions system as the factory fitted it. We do not remove or disable the DPF, EGR or AdBlue system as part of a remap.
How long does it take, and can it be reversed?
A Stage 1 remap is done in a single visit, usually the same day. The original software is stored and can be restored on request.
