A Stage 1 remap takes the BMW 5 Series 545e from 389 to 500 bhp and from 600 to 800 Nm: 111 bhp and 200 Nm more, on standard hardware. On a plug-in hybrid the remap works on the combustion engine only; the electric motor and battery are untouched, so EV range and charging are unchanged. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
