A Stage 1 remap takes the Audi A3 2.0 TDI PD from 163 to 200 bhp and from 350 to 420 Nm: 37 bhp and 70 Nm more, on standard hardware. Diesels gain most in torque, so the change shows as pull from low revs and less gear-changing under load, not just a higher peak figure. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
