How the Ghost protects your car

Your own PIN, from your buttons

You set a disarm sequence of up to 20 presses on the steering wheel, door or centre console buttons. Change it whenever you like.

Stops key cloning and keyless theft

The engine will not start without the sequence, even if the thief is holding your actual key.

Hard to find

No key fob, no LEDs, no radio signal and no cut wires. It talks to the ECU over the car's CAN network, so scanners and diagnostics cannot find it.

TASSA registered installation

JF Automotive is a TASSA registered installer. TASSA is the body most UK insurers look to for aftermarket vehicle security, and the recognition applies to the installation, not just the product.

Tell your insurer once it is fitted. Most recognise a TASSA registered installation and some reduce the premium, but every insurer sets its own terms, so check with yours.

How much is a Ghost immobiliser fitted?

£499 fitted at our Maidstone workshop. Land Rover and Jaguar models from 2017 on take the Ghost Pro version at £599.

How long does fitting take?

Around two hours. You are welcome to wait, and we set your first disarm sequence with you before you leave.

Can it be found with diagnostics or a scanner?

The Ghost transmits no radio signal and involves no circuit cuts, so neither method reveals it.

What if I forget my sequence?

There is a secure emergency code unique to your car, so a forgotten sequence does not leave you stranded.

Someone else needs to drive the car.

Service mode lets a valet or a garage start and drive the car without your sequence, and without revealing it.

Which cars can have one fitted?

The large majority of modern cars, vans and 4x4s, because it works through the car's existing CAN network. Send us your registration and we will confirm yours and the exact price.
