Autotuner has added OBD support for two Delphi diesel ECUs used on Chinese-built pickups and SUVs: the Delphi DCM3.7AP and the Delphi DCM6.2AP. The update, announced on 19 October 2026, covers GWM, Haval, JAC and BAIC models from 2010 onwards, all running 2.0 litre diesel engines. Our tools now read and write these ECUs through the OBD port, with no need to remove the ECU from the vehicle.
Which ECUs
Two Delphi control units are covered, both via OBD in normal read mode with checksum correction.
- Delphi DCM3.7AP (SH72513 processor)
- Delphi DCM6.2AP (SPC5674 processor)
Autotuner quotes a calibration read time of around 6 minutes and a write time of around 5 minutes 30 seconds, which keeps workshop time on each job short.
Both ECUs are fitted to a wide spread of 2.0 litre diesel applications across four brands, so one protocol update opens up a good number of vehicles that workshops previously had to turn away or send out to a specialist.

What it means
These pickups and SUVs are increasingly common on UK roads and in fleets, and until now there has been little tuning support for them. For owners, a well-made calibration on a 2.0 diesel pickup typically gives a worthwhile gain in low-down torque and a smoother, more flexible drive, which matters when you tow or carry a load. Figures vary by vehicle and condition, so we always check the car first.
Fuel economy can also improve slightly when the calibration is tuned for sensible cruising, though we would not promise a specific saving. The tool also handles checksum correction as part of the write.
For dealers, OBD access means a quick, tidy job with no dismantling. If you want to see what is possible on your own vehicles, try our tuning builder, or send us files through our file service. You can find the tool itself on our Autotuner page.
