A Stage 1 remap takes the Ferrari 488 GTB and Spider from 670bhp and 760Nm to around 720bhp and 850Nm, and the 488 Pista from 770 to about 860bhp. The naturally aspirated cars gain less by their nature: the 458 Italia goes from 570 to around 591bhp, the 812 Superfast from 800 to about 825bhp. The turbocharged cars are where the real headroom is, and we will tell you which side of that line your car sits on before you book.
JF Automotive – a Kent UK based company have become market leaders for ECU re-calibration for more power and enhanced fuel efficiency. Calibrating software to the highest level requires passion and enthusiasm and we strive to impart this into your vehicle to deliver a fulfilling sensation every time you drive.
Ferrari Engine ECU Remapping
Ferrari ECU Remapping will offer great power and fuel economy enhancements , however as with most vehicles the peak power gains are only half the benefit. You will also find power delivery earlier in the rev range due to additional low down torque and sharper throttle response along with vast improvements to mid-range torque providing a wider power band.
Ferrari Gearbox TCU Remapping
If your Ferrari is fitted with an automatic or semi automatic transmission we can perform a gearbox remap in additional to the engine remap. A gearbox remap for your Ferrari will offer faster gear shift speeds, smoother shifts, faster reaction to paddle shift inputs and improved mid range torque by releasing torque limiters. Transmission lock is also improved giving a faster response during acceleration and assisting with kick down at low speeds.
Ferrari Dyno Tuning
Our purpose built research and development facility houses out very own Mustang AWD 2000BHP linked dyno. This allows us to accurately measure every parameter we adjust making sure a tune is every bit as safe as it it powerful. When booking your Ferrari ECU remap, book a set of dyno runs to see a full print out of power before and after the tuning.
Ferrari Performance Exhaust System
We have a range of exhaust systems available for your Ferrari including Milltek, Remus, Capristo, Akrapovič and many more. Just ask us for a quotation.

Questions we get asked
How much does a Ferrari gain from a remap?
It depends entirely on whether it is turbocharged. The 488 GTB goes from 670 to around 720bhp and 850Nm. The naturally aspirated 458 Italia goes from 570 to about 591bhp, and the 812 Superfast from 800 to around 825bhp. Turbo cars gain properly; the others gain modestly.
Why is the gain smaller on the older cars?
Because there is no boost to raise. On a naturally aspirated V8 or V12 the software controls timing, throttle mapping and the limiter, and that is a much smaller lever. Anyone quoting you a large number for a 458 is not being straight.
Is it safe on a car like this?
It is when it is done on a dyno with data logging, which is the only way we do them. We watch timing, lambda and temperatures on every run and stop where the engine tells us to.
Which Ferraris do you work on?
From the 348 and 355 through the 360, 458, 488, 599, 812 and California. We hold data across the range rather than only the current cars, and we will confirm what is available for yours before you commit.
Will it affect the warranty or the classiche status?
A main dealer can detect a remap and may decline a related claim. We keep your original file and can return the car to standard. If originality matters to you for a future sale, say so and we will talk it through properly.
How do I book?
Call 01622 321500 or send the registration through the enquiry form. Please book: a car like this takes a bay and the dyno for a while, and we would rather do it properly than fit it around other work.
