A Stage 1 remap takes the Audi A1 1.6 TDI CR from 110 to 190 bhp and from 250 to 420 Nm: 80 bhp and 170 Nm more, on standard hardware. Diesels gain most in torque, so the change shows as pull from low revs and less gear-changing under load, not just a higher peak figure. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
