A Stage 1 remap takes the Renault Scenic 1.7 DCi from 120 to 180 bhp and from 300 to 380 Nm: 60 bhp and 80 Nm more, on standard hardware. Diesels gain most in torque, so the change shows as pull from low revs and less gear-changing under load, not just a higher peak figure. It is done in a visit at our Maidstone workshop and the original file is kept, so it can go back to standard.
