WARNING NOTICE: RACE MODIFIED VEHICLES AND THE LAW

Some of the services and replacement parts we supply (Race Modifications) will result in your (Race Modified) vehicle being illegal to use on a public road. Race Modifications are only appropriate for vehicles that will be used solely on private land (e.g. track days and racing circuits). A full list of Race Modifications is set out in the table below. If we supply Race Modifications to your vehicle you acknowledge and agree (and it is a condition of our release of the vehicle to you) that:

  1. You must arrange suitable transportation for the vehicle when you collect it (e.g. car trailer).
  2. We are entitled to remove the vehicle licence plates from the vehicle before collection. You should complete a SORN declaration for the vehicle and submit it to DVLA.
  3. It will be a condition of your insurance that you are obliged to notify your insurers of all modifications to your vehicle. Failure to notify modifications to your insurers may result in your insurance being void.
  4. Race Modified vehicles are unlikely to pass the emissions test required as part of the vehicle’s MOT.
  5. It is a criminal offence to drive a vehicle that is either Race Modified or uninsured on a public road, and the commission of either offence could lead to a significant fine.
  6. You hereby indemnify (and, for six years from the date of the release of your Race Modified vehicle to you, will keep indemnified) JF Automotive Ltd and its directors, officers and employees, from and against all costs, claims, losses and liabilities that we may incur (including reasonable professional fees) as the result of your breach of any of the conditions in paragraphs 1 to 5 above)

IPE VALVE CONTROL TECHNOLOGY

FREEDOM TO SWITCH BETWEEN LOUD AND QUIET WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON

With the push of a button on your IPE remotes it allows you to switch between modes; open, close or auto.

CUSTOMISABLE AUTOMATIC MODE GIVES YOU A WORRY-FREE DRIVE

The automatic mode will open/close the exhaust valves based on predetermined RPM range or turbo pressure, so you don’t have to manually switch all the time – you can also customise your own automatic mode to your preference!

GAIN MORE POWER, LOSE NO TORQUE

Depending on the vehicle, modifications, and tunes you have, opening valves allow the exhaust gas to flow more freely, as it does not have to pass through any muffler. And with the valves being closed, it can retain the back pressure at low rpm, and maintain the torque that is usually lost with straight piped exhaust systems.

Boasting more than two decades of expertise within the industry, iPE exhaust systems are meticulously crafted using top-tier aerospace materials, including T304 Stainless Steel and Grade 1 Titanium.

In the process of engineering cutting-edge exhaust systems, our dedicated research and development team initiates the journey by fashioning a prototype. This is followed by a rigorous sequence of standardized tests to guarantee the highest quality and unparalleled precision.

Exhaust welding

The size of the exhaust pipe is a crucial factor influencing the quality and effectiveness of an exhaust system. In theory, larger pipe diameters can enhance horsepower performance, particularly at higher RPMs. However, it’s important to note that a wider diameter isn’t always the optimal choice. Excessively large diameters can introduce turbulence and issues with exhaust outflow, ultimately leading to a loss in low-end torque.

The right pipe diameter is essential to facilitate more efficient exhaust flow, potentially yielding increased horsepower at higher RPM levels and enhanced torque at lower RPM levels. Consequently, iPE customizes exhaust systems for each vehicle, tailoring the exhaust diameter to the specific requirements of the vehicle to ensure the utmost precision and peak performance.

Exhaust tig welding

The TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding technique:

TIG welding is an electrical welding process designed for melting and uniting metal pieces. Originating in the 1940s, it found its initial application in the aerospace sector. One of the foremost advantages of TIG welding is its capability to effectively join very thin materials that might pose challenges for other welding methods.

TIG welding results in welds that are not only stronger but also exceptionally clean and flawless, especially when working with thin materials. Our skilled welders maintain precise manual control over both the filler metal and heat output, thereby minimizing disruptions to the adjacent metal. What sets iPE apart is our welders’ extensive experience in back-purging, a technique that ensures the production of cutting-edge exhaust systems.
