The 8S Audi TT 1.8 TFSI makes 180hp and 250Nm as standard. Our Stage 1 calibration takes it to around 220hp and 380Nm, and it is the torque gain of over 100Nm that changes the car most, giving it the mid-range shove the chassis was always ready for. The tune is written for your car's own file, programmed through the OBD port and proven on our 4WD linked dyno, with the original file kept for a return to standard.
Measured on our Mustang AWD rolling road in Maidstone. Wheel figures, drivetrain loss added for the flywheel numbers. The Audi TT has been an iconic sports car since its release in 1998. Although many have said that things don’t get better with age, we think that the TT is an exception. This 2018 Audi TT 1.8 TFSI is an absolute stunner, and the ‘Daytona Grey Pearlescent’ paintwork really shows off the design that this car has taken to over its many generations. If you’d like to see more of the car, here’s a YouTube video by Carwow on the Audi TT. We offer this Audi TT 1.8 TFSI Tuning package here at JF Automotive or through our dealer network.
Audi TT 1.8 TFSI Stock Results
Many people know that German car manufacturers lower their factory figures and this car was no exception. Audi claimed that the car makes 180bhp and 250Nm torque at the crank, however we found that the car was actually making 189bhp/278Nm. Whilst these figures aren’t drastically different, it still means the car is making more power than we thought. With this information, we got to work writing the map and preparing to take this car to the next level!
Audi TT 1.8 TFSI Tuning Results
This 1.8 TFSI engine is already great. It has a reasonable amount of power out of the factory and isn’t too uneconomical. This is why it’s a great candidate for our stage 1 tune. We take the power up by enough that the car will feel much perkier with the torque being much greater. After a few runs on the dyno, we recorded our stage 1 figures at 235bhp/356Nm. With the torque being increased by over 100Nm the factory figures, the car pulls a lot better making for a much more enjoyable spirited drive.

Questions we get asked
Is the 1.8 TFSI a good engine to tune?
Yes. It is the same EA888 family as the 2.0 TFSI, running conservatively from the factory, so a software-only Stage 1 gives a large percentage gain without any hardware.
Will the tune affect fuel economy?
Driven the same way, economy is usually unchanged or slightly better because the engine makes its torque at lower revs. Use the extra performance and it will use more fuel, as any car does.
Can the DSG gearbox be tuned too?
On S tronic cars we can recalibrate the gearbox for faster shifts and revised torque limits. On this 1.8 it is optional rather than necessary.
